Sponsor a Chatham County child in the Ferst Foundation program, and share the gift of learning!
The Ferst Foundation aims to instill a love of books and a readiness to learn to read in all Georgia preschoolers by providing registered children with a free, age-appropriate book mailed to their home every month from birth to age 5. There is never a cost to the families of registered children. The local Community Action Team in each county is responsible for raising funds and covering the $36 per child per year cost of the program. With approximately 17,000 preschool aged children in Chatham County, that is a big job! Let’s tackle the problem one child at a time. Your donation of $36 will sponsor a child to receive 12 books over the course of a year. The love of reading and learning that comes along with those books will last a life time.
